The grant application window for Advance-Local Middle-Mile Projects is now open through June 29, 2026, marking a critical step in bridging Colorado’s connectivity gaps. Applications for Last-Mile, Short-term Construction, and Non-deployment projects will follow this summer. The Colorado Broadband Office has officially announced the award recipients for the 2025 Advance Colorado Mini Grant Program. Following a surge in interest, the program saw $6.4 million in funding requests, highlighting the significant demand for localized broadband and infrastructure support. The Colorado Broadband Office is thrilled to announce that the National Telecommunications and Information Administration has officially approved Colorado’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Final Proposal. 

The Colorado Broadband Office is excited to announce that it will soon open the Advance Colorado Broadband Mini Grant Program for unobligated funds from both the Capital Projects Fund and State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. CBO expects to publish more details on or around October 3, 2025, and will host a webinar providing information on the program, the associated map and the timeline.

The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) is seeking information from broadband providers who currently offer service to locations eligible for the BEAD (Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment) program. This information will help the CBO ensure that BEAD funding is directed to unserved and underserved areas. This notice outlines the process for demonstrating existing service and claiming locations as served, which may preclude those locations from receiving BEAD funding. For a location to be eligible for this process, it must meet both of the following criteria:

The 2024 Colorado Broadband Data Collection is now open. The Colorado Broadband Office (CBO) requests that internet service providers in Colorado provide confirmation of their Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Broadband Data Collection (BDC) filing submissions depicting broadband service availability as of December 31, 2023, in addition to other submission details for 2024 Colorado Broadband Data Collection.

The Colorado Broadband Office announced additional grants using stimulus funding from the US Treasury’s Capital Projects Fund (CPF) program. As a result of the Advance-CPF Challenge Process, some of the previously awarded projects were reduced in size, leading to additional availability of funding.
