The Oregon Broadband Office is pleased to announce that the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment Notice of Award has been signed by both the Oregon Broadband Office and National Institute of Standards and Technology on 4/17/2026. Notice of Award within the context of the National Institute of Standards and Technology is a legal, binding document that formally notifies a recipient that a grant or cooperative agreement has been awarded.

The Oregon Broadband Office released the state's draft Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program Final Proposal on September 12. Public comments will be accepted through September 19, 2025. Written comments may be submitted by email to BEAD.broadband@biz.oregon.gov. The plan includes $621 million in funding to 19 awardees to cover over 100,000 locations.

The Oregon Broadband Office is accepting applications for grant awards for the Broadband Deployment Program (BDP).

Business Oregon announces its contract with Columbia Telecommunications Corporation, dba CTC Technology, and Energy, as the planning consultant for the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) program and Digital Equity (DE) programs for the Oregon Broadband Office (OBO). Together, CTC and OBO staff, with input from the Oregon Broadband Advisory Council and stakeholders, will develop plans to make the internet accessible, affordable, and reliable via high-speed broadband for all Oregonians. This is a critical moment in the history of telecommunications in the state of Oregon.

With passage of a new state law (HB 4092), Business Oregon, the state's economic development agency, is seeking applications to fill 11 Oregon Broadband Advisory Council (OBAC) volunteer positions.
