Washington Closes BEAD Round 2 With 202 Applications

The Washington State Broadband Office announced that, after closing the Round 2 application window of their Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program, they received 202 applications for project areas that did not receive an award in Round 1. These 202 applications saw 70 percent of BEAD-eligible project areas receiving at least one bid, and 32 percent of BEAD-eligible project areas received two or more bids. The WSBO said they will announce Round 3 dates after the National Telecommunications and Information Administration issues revised BEAD guidelines.
