TDS Telecommunications to Acquire Granite State Communications

TDS Telecommunications, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telephone and Data Systems, Inc, has entered into a purchase agreement with Granite State Communications to transfer ownership of the independent phone company’s fiber optic and voice operations. The acquisition combines two highly respected, adjacent internet providers in New Hampshire and is expected to close within the third quarter of 2026. As a result of the acquisition, TDS Telecom will gain more than 11,000 fiber service addresses.
