FCC Seeks Nominations for Vacant USAC Board Member Position

The Federal Communications Commission’s Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) seeks nominations to fill the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) Board of Directors position representing incumbent local exchange carriers (Bell Operating Companies). The position was recently vacated, and the term for the position expires on December 31, 2028. If members of the incumbent local exchange carriers (Bell Operating Companies) group fail to reach consensus on a candidate to serve on the Board, or fail to submit a nomination for the vacant Board member seat, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission will select an individual from that group to serve on the Board. All nominations must be filed by May 29, 2026.
