Consumer Protection and Accessibility Advisory Committee Membership Appointments and First Meeting Date

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Brendan Carr announced the first meeting of the Commission’s Consumer Protection and Accessibility Advisory Committee (CPAAC or Committee) for this term and the appointment of Committee members, including its Co-Chairs.  The CPAAC will provide advice and recommendations to the FCC on a wide array of consumer protection and accessibility matters specified by the Commission.  The CPAAC was previously known as the Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) and was renamed to better reflect its broader mission, which now includes matters relating to disability access. The Chairman selected 27 members for this term of the CPAAC; the membership consists of a mix of non-profit organizations representing consumers, communications companies, and trade associations. CPAAC co-chairs are Elizabeth Hill, Board Member-at-Large, National Association of State Agencies for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Logan Kolas, Director of Technology, The American Consumer Institute. David M. Pérez, National Community Impact Manager, Consumer Affairs and Outreach Division (CAOD), Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau (CGB), and Joshua Mendelsohn, Attorney Advisor, Disability Rights Office, CGB, will serve as co-Designated Federal Officers (DFOs). The CPAAC will hold the first meeting of this term in-person on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. Eastern time.
