Callabyte Technology Connect America Fund Progress Report

Callabyte Technology notified the Federal Communications Commission that the company was unable to meet its 100 percent Connect America Fund II Auction milestone because there are an insufficient number of broadband serviceable locations in the service area. Version 8 of the Fabric indicates that there are 1,378 BSLs and 1,388 units in Callabyte’s CAF II Auction-funded service area. However, Callabyte can find no location within its CAF II Auction service area where a location should have more than one unit. Callabyte also believes that an additional 96 of the BSLs included in Version 8 of the Fabric are not, in fact, BSLs. Rather, they are mostly support structures (e.g., barns, silos), mobile homes that have since been moved, or homes that once existed, but that have since been destroyed or torn down.
