Callabyte Technology notified the Federal Communications Commission that the company was unable to meet its 100 percent Connect America Fund II Auction milestone because there are an insufficient number of broadband serviceable locations in the service area. Version 8 of the Fabric indicates that there are 1,378 BSLs and 1,388 units in Callabyte’s CAF II Auction-funded service area. However, Callabyte can find no location within its CAF II Auction service area where a location should have more than one unit.

South Central Connect, a subsidiary of South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative, is receiving Rural Digital Opportunity Fund funding to deploy 1 Gbps/500 Mbps service to 48 Census Block Groups in Arkansas. South Central Connect hereby notifies the Federal Communications Commission of its decision to default on 13 of its 48 RDOF CBGs in Arkansas.

South Central Connect (SCC) petitioned the Federal Communications Commission for (1) a waiver of the FCC’s Connect America Fund Phase II Auction (“CAF II”) default rules, and buildout obligations that are based on the FCC’s use of Connect America Cost Model (“CAM”) data; and (2) revision of SCC’s defined CAF II deployment obligations and support as identified by the CAM to reflect the number of actual locations on the ground as identified by Fabric data.
