Comcast reported results for the 2nd quarter of 2026. Highlights include:

• Residential broadband net losses improving 34 thousand year-over-year to 167 thousand

Comcast is committed to bringing affordable, reliable broadband to unserved residents in Virginia and throughout our footprint. The Federal Communications Commission reconfirmed in its February order that Appalachian Power’s (APCo) policy of charging new attachers to its poles exorbitant fees was inconsistent with the FCC’s rules. APCo has refused to comply with this order and other FCC rules, instead demanding that Comcast pay to fix preexisting violations on poles caused by other parties. These unreasonable fees threaten to delay or derail broadband deployments to many Americans.

Comcast announced that Michael J. Cavanagh has been named Co-Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective January 2026. He will serve with Brian L. Roberts, who will continue as Chairman and Co-CEO. Cavanagh will also be named to the Comcast Board of Directors at that time. Cavanagh joined Comcast in 2015 as Chief Financial Officer and currently serves as President. He previously spent more than two decades in financial services, including as Co-CEO of JPMorgan Chase’s Corporate & Investment Bank, one of the largest global financial institutions.

On July 31, Comcast reported its second quarter 2025 results. Comcast pivoted its go-to-market strategy and tactics, including the launch of new, national internet plans with Everyday Pricing and Everything Included; a 5-year internet price guarantee; a free Xfinity unlimited mobile line included for one year; and a new premium Unlimited Wireless Plan that delivers gigabit speeds, upgraded features, and significant savings. Domestic wireless customer line net additions were 378,000, the best quarterly result on record.
