Sprint to Enter Talks on Dish's Offer

Sprint Nextel said it agreed to enter into negotiations with Dish Network about Dish's $25.5 billion bid for the wireless carrier. But Sprint stopped short of saying Dish's offer could be superior to what SoftBank of Japan has already bid. The small step forward with Dish comes as a deadline nears in the battle for Sprint. A shareholders' vote on SoftBank's $20.1 billion deal with Sprint to buy 70% of Sprint, struck in October, is scheduled for June 12.
