A Q&A with Mitchell Baker. As chairwoman of the nonprofit Mozilla Foundation’s board, Baker shepherds a community of millions of volunteers and staff who help engineer, code, design and promote open-source software platforms, like the well-known Firefox Web browser. Baker started her career at Sun Microsystems and Netscape. When Netscape launched the project that eventually became Mozilla, she rose to become general manager. She took over as Mozilla president after Netscape spun the project into an independent nonprofit.
