FCC Seeks Comment on Recommendations Approved by The World Radiocommunication Conference Advisory Committee

On August 4, 2026, the World Radiocommunication Conference Advisory Committee approved and provided for Federal Communications Commission consideration of its draft recommendations on issues that will be considered by the 2027 World Radiocommunication Conference Based upon an initial review of the draft recommendations forwarded to the FCC, the Office of International Affairs, in coordination with other Commission Bureaus and Offices, tentatively concludes that we can generally support most of the content found in Attachment A. We seek comment on the draft recommendations provided in Attachment A. In addition, we seek comment on National Telecommunications and Information Administration draft proposals in Attachment B. The comments provided by interested parties will assist the FCC in its upcoming consultations with the U.S. Department of State and NTIA in the development of U.S. positions for WRC-27. The proposed recommendations that are attached to this Public Notice may evolve in the course of interagency discussions as we approach WRC-27 and, therefore, do not constitute any final U.S. Government positions on any issue. The deadline for comments on the proposed recommendations is August 24, 2026.
