There is more information shared on social media than any other time in history, and the information is not always factual. What can big tech companies like Facebook and Twitter do to regulate misinformation without infringing on users’ right to free speech? KUOW’s All Things Considered host Kim Malcolm and Ryan Calo, principal investigator for the Center for an Informed Public and associate professor at the UW School of Law, will discuss what steps social media companies and the government can legally take to stop the spread of misinformation, while ensuring everyone has the right to express their opinion.
