The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) submitted the federal Universal Service Support Mechanisms fund size and administrative cost projections for the fourth quarter of calendar year 2025 (4Q2025). USAC projects a consolidated budget of $75.59 million for 4Q2025. Direct costs for all support mechanisms total $32.76 million.
Array Digital Infrastructure, formerly known as UScellular, and TDS Telecommunications announced the successful closing of the divestiture of UScellular's wireless operations and select spectrum assets to T-Mobile. Total consideration received in the closing was $4.3 billion after adjustments, which includes a combination of $2.6 billion in cash proceeds and approximately $1.7 billion in debt assumed by T-Mobile through an exchange offer made to UScellular's debt holders, which is expected to close on August 5, 2025.
