AT&T Fiber internet to be expanded across Mississippi as part of $30.5 million project

AT&T and Mississippi have entered into contracts to expand AT&T Fiber internet across the state. More than 5,300 residential and business locations in portions of Hinds, Rankin, Leake, and Neshoba Counties will get expanded broadband as a part of the $30.5 million public-private project that is expected to deliver high-speed internet. AT&T says the company will expand fiber broadband to nearly 1,600 homes and small businesses. State officials used federal funds made available by the American Rescue Plan Act to help bring fiber internet to the area.

Spectrum Expands its State-of-the-Art Broadband Network in Somerset County (MD)

Spectrum announced construction is underway on a $10 million fiber-optic network expansion project that will bring gigabit broadband and other Spectrum services to more than 700 homes and small businesses in Somerset County (MD). The project is funded by an $8.5 million Connect Maryland Grant, with an additional $75,000 from the County and a $1.4 million investment by Spectrum. Spectrum services are expected to be available to residents and small business owners in the buildout areas by the end of 2025.
