1,600 Thomas County (GA) Residents Now Eligible for Kinetic Fiber Internet
Kinetic and Thomas County announced the completion of a nearly $13.3 million fiber optic expansion project. Kinetic, the State of Georgia, and 25 counties have partnered to invest over $354 million in Georgia broadband infrastructure development since the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law in 2021. The Thomas County project has been generously funded through a combination of more than $6.8 million from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund (SFRF), and a county match of $1.3 million.

Kinetic and Thomas County (GA) announced the completion of a nearly $13.3 million fiber optic expansion project. The Thomas County project has been generously funded through a combination of more than $6.8 million from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund and a county match of $1.3 million. To complete the project, Kinetic invested $5.1 million of its own funds to bolster Thomas County’s digital infrastructure and ensure that residents have access to reliable, fast internet services.
Kinetic and Baldwin County (GA) Celebrate $1.9 Million High-Speed Fiber Internet Expansion
Kinetic officially inaugurated Lake Sinclair and east Baldwin County’s (GA) high-speed fiber internet expansion, connecting over 700 households in the area. This $1.9 million transformative project represents a collaborative effort between state and local governments and Kinetic to enhance digital connectivity and bridge the digital divide in the region. The Baldwin County project has been generously funded through a combination of more than $920,000 from the State Fiscal Recovery Fund, and a county match of $151,000.

North Carolina Awards $4.5 Million to Kinetic, Expansion of High-Speed Fiber Internet Planned
To bridge the digital divide, the North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) will award Kinetic $4.4 million to bring high-speed fiber internet to unserved areas in two counties. This grant will enable Kinetic to significantly expand its fiber-optic network in Cabarrus and Union counties by the end of 2026, bringing gigabit internet speeds to 1,392 previously unserved locations. Kinetic will invest $1.9 million of private capital in this fiber-to-the-home project and cover any cost overruns.
$23.2 Million Investment Bringing High-Speed Kinetic Fiber to Three Pennsylvania Counties
Kinetic has been awarded an $11.9 million grant to significantly expand its fiber-optic network in Clarion County, Centre County, and Erie County, Pennsylvania, by the end of 2026. This expansion will bring gigabit internet speeds to nearly 2,400 previously underserved and unserved locations.

70% of Colquitt County (GA) to Be ‘Fiber Ready’ in 2024
Fiber internet provider Kinetic plans to make 70% of Colquitt County (GA), or more than 17,000 homes and businesses, “fiber ready” in 2024 in a $32.5 million public-private partnership. Some 40% of the county, or more than 9,700 homes and businesses, including in county seat Moultrie, are already eligible for Kinetic’s fiber broadband, which provides internet speeds of up to 8 gigabits per second.
