TikTok signed agreements with three major new investors to help form an American version of TikTok, bringing it one step closer to completing a deal to keep the app operating in the United States. The agreements do not mean that a deal for an American version of TikTok is done, as these investors would form only 45 percent of the new ownership. It’s not clear where the rest of the deal stands.

Reflections cast by a growing number of satellites orbiting the Earth could ruin more than 95 percent of images taken by some space telescopes in the next decade, according to a NASA-led study. The reflected light shows up as streaks called satellite trails. It's been seen in images taken by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope. The situation is only getting worse as more satellites accumulate in orbit, according to researchers.
