The Multi-Tenant Fixed Wireless Access architecture (MT-FWA) architecture defines how internet service providers (ISPs) can service the tenants in a multi-dwelling unit (MDU) with 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) connectivity and do this cost-effectively. The architecture allows the tenants to share FWA connectivity to the mobile network and an In-building wired network to distribute the service to the individual tenants. This architecture further enables each tenant to be individually managed by the Service Provider.

Fiber service providers have been given a boost in their pursuit of more energy-efficient networks that can unlock significant power savings thanks to a new project launched by Broadband Forum. The project will seek to lower energy consumption when accessing the internet. The project, which is set to publish its specification in Summer 2025, will encourage the development of technologies that satisfy the power-saving requirements, test plan, and data model it sets out.
