Former FTC official to join Public Interest Register

Don Blumenthal will be a senior policy adviser at the Public Interest Registry, which provides Web addresses for non-profit organizations across the globe. He previously directed the Federal Trade Commission's Internet Lab, which works to collect evidence and build cases against online criminals. Since leaving the Commission in 2006 he has been in private practice.
