AT&T To Bring ‘GigaPower’ To Charlotte

AT&T will roll out its fiber-based, 1-Gig-capable network to parts of Charlotte (NC), another city that Google Fiber has been eyeing for possible expansion. AT&T, which competes with Time Warner Cable in Charlotte, didn’t announce when it expects GigaPower deployments to begin there, or say which parts of Charlotte will be reached by the new fiber-based platform first.
