76 Percent Of Homes Have DVR, Netflix Or Use Video-on-demand

Coverage Type:

More than three quarters (76 percent) of US homes have a DVR, subscribe to Netflix, or use video-on-demand (VOD) from a cable or telecommunications provider, up from 70 percent 2013, Leichtman Research Group found in its 13th annual study on the topic.

Additionally, 26 percent of homes use two of those services, and 11 percent use all three. DVR adoption continues to skew toward higher income brackets, as 66 percent of homes with annual household incomes of more than $75,000 have one, compared to 33 percent among those with incomes of less than $30,000.
