IP Transition Workshop
The Federal Communications Commission's Wireline Competition Bureau will host an industry workshop on July 15 and July 16, 2026 to discuss the Commission’s proposed reforms intended to accelerate the transition from legacy voice networks to modern, all-Internet Protocol (IP) networks. The workshop will include discussion on the following topics:
- Accelerating the transition to all-IP interconnection
- Completing the transition of intercarrier compensation charges to bill-and-keep
- Reforming the High-Cost Universal Service Fund program for an all-IP future
- Other IP transition considerations

Registration is optional but strongly encouraged and will expedite in-person admission to the workshop. The registration form will close on July 8, 2026. Attendees will be admitted as space permits, regardless of registration status.
Registrants can submit a question for panelists using the optional text field within the registration form. Although submitting a question increases the likelihood that it will be raised, we cannot guarantee that every question will be addressed. Questions may be consolidated or grouped if similar.
