Governing Disruption: 2026 AI Policy Outlook

Nearly seven in ten Americans support regulating artificial intelligence (AI), underscoring the broad, bipartisan desire for clear rules governing these rapidly advancing technologies. As concerns grow about AI’s risks and impacts, including questions about its long-term effects on society, the economy, and the environment, policymakers face a pivotal challenge.
