Digital Equity Community of Practice

The Digital Equity Community of Practice brings together state agencies, local governments, community organizations, libraries, and educational institutions to share insights, best practices, and strategies that advance the Broadband for All Action Plan and the California State Digital Equity Plan (SDEP).

This month’s Community of Practice will feature Dr. Amy Gonzales from UC Santa Barbara, who will share findings of her research on the Importance of Large Device Ownership, and Ms. Sunne McPeak from California Emerging Technology Fund (CETF), who will discuss the CETF Public Benefit Agreement from the recent Verizon Frontier merger.

Additionally, the meeting will provide updates on the California LifeLine Home Broadband Pilot Program, Request for Innovative Ideas, upcoming grant opportunities, and a demonstration of the revamped Digital Equity Resource Finder.
