The Board's agenda includes a discussion on FY 2015 regional strategies, and establishment of new Board special committees. The Board will also receive a report by its Special Committee on the Future of Shortwave Broadcasting.
The leadership of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty will provide the Board an overview of the network's operations. The RFE/RL deep dive presentation will be followed by a conversation hosted by Under Secretary of State for Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy Rick Stengel with Ben Rhodes, Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications and Speechwriting.
The public may attend this meeting in person as seating capacity permits, and there will be an opportunity for public comment. Members of the public seeking to attend the meeting in person must register by 12:00 p.m. on August 12.
