Drama Over 'Daniel' Poses Dilemma

When TV shows are controversial, advertisers can get caught in the furor. So there's some nervous people on Madison Avenue as three NBC affiliates -- all owned by the Nexstar Broadcasting Group -- have decided not to air tonight's pilot of The Book of Daniel. Jesus Christ is a main character in new series. The drama has drawn fire from the American Family Association for its portrayal of Christians. At the urging of the AFA, a conservative Christian group, members of the public have contacted television stations complaining about the show.
