Santorum: ISIS better journalism than New York Times?

Coverage Type:

Rick Santorum is impressed with the Islamic State’s journalism. The perennial presidential candidate is overlooked by most American pollsters and pundits, but the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, is taking him seriously. The group singled out Santorum as a crusader, along with a little-known Virginia state senator Richard H. Black (R-VA) and former CIA officer Gary Bernsten, in an Islamic State magazine, quoting them verbatim in a feature called “In the Words of the Enemy.” Asked about his new star power on Fox News, Santorum had only praise for the group’s journalistic standards. “Well the difference is ISIS actually quoted me accurately compared to the New York Times, which is sort of a remarkable comment on the state of the media today,” he said.
