955 Dreams is hitting all the right notes with its music apps for the Apple iPad. The software development studio's latest release, On the Way to Woodstock, is the App of the Week in the iTunes store (limited time price, $6.99; regular $9.99). It's a groovy follow-up to the studio's The History of Jazz, released in January, which has earned accolades and remained among the top-10-grossing apps in the music category and resulted in about one in five users purchasing albums within the app. Both apps share music as a topic and as a jumping-off point for learning. The newer one looks at the cultural influence of Woodstock with more than 100 photos, articles on the social and political movements of the time, artist profiles, and scores of videos and song clips.
