Broadband Advisor Yang leaving FCC in December

Phoebe Yang, Senior Advisor on Broadband to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski, will leave the FCC in December, to join the senior management team and lead acquisitions strategy at The Advisory Board Company, a leading provider of comprehensive performance improvement services to the health care and education sectors.

Yang has spearheaded the FCC's broadband priorities, as set forth in Connecting America: The National Broadband Plan, and has led the Plan's integration into the broader FCC agenda. Yang served at the FCC as General Counsel of the Omnibus Broadband Initiative and Chair of the Broadband Steering Committee.
