Should you ditch cable? Depends on what you want to watch.

Is it time to cut the cord? This can be as confusing as picking a cable package -- and sometimes not quite worth it, based on your TV-watching personality.
- Channel-surfers: You're not watching a ton of TV right now, or invested in any particularly show, but like having the TV on for the noise. Or maybe you've never subscribed to cable on your own, and aren't interested in starting now -- but still want to keep in touch enough to contribute to water-cooler conversation.
- Sports fans: Sports are the thing that are keeping you on cable, and you don't really care about any other programming. To be honest, while the landscape is getting better for you, cord-cutting may not be your best option.
- Premium channel lovers: This is another reason that people stay on their cable subscriptions -- access to the "good shows" tend to be something you have to pay for. If shows from HBO, Showtime, Starz and Cinemax are what you live for, then it may be harder to cut the cord. If you're looking at cutting the cord but live for this kind of programming, you have few options without a cable subscription, for now.
