Benton Institute for Broadband & Society Congratulates Arielle Roth

The Benton Institute for Broadband & Society congratulates Assistant Secretary Roth and looks forward to working with her and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration on realizing our shared national goal of universal connectivity and digital opportunity in the U.S. During her confirmation process, Ms. Roth repeatedly affirmed her commitment to following the law as she implements broadband programs housed at NTIA. We welcome this commitment and look forward to NTIA's implementation of the Digital Equity Act, established by Congress in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, as well as quick review and approval of states’ Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program applications. We also call on Assistant Secretary Roth to ensure transparency in all decision-making so the government can be held accountable for all public investments in connectivity.
