Consumer Electronics Association and the Open Technology Institute at the New America Foundation
Wednesday, February 12th
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association and the Open Technology Institute at the New America Foundation, this event will take a closer look at our 2013 Tech Starts study and the Kauffman Foundation State of Entrepreneurship research, uncover the faces of innovation in America, and provide a platform for policy experts and tech founders to discuss policy solutions on the issues that matter to them.

Agenda:

The Faces of Entrepreneurship in America
In 2013 research released with the Kauffman Foundation, we highlight the outsized role played by new and young high-tech companies in national job creation and economic growth. We also found that high-tech startups are increasingly being founded in cities not traditionally thought of as tech centers. In other words, entrepreneurship is happening nationally in startup communities across the country. Meet the faces of the entrepreneurial revolution and understand the strengths of their diverse communities.
