Roughly 50 years ago, federal policy makers dedicated a portion of spectrum for educational purposes. The Federal Communications Commission is currently mulling the idea of turning that band back over to the general spectrum pool. What has been the experience of the so-called education band and what are the possible implications of ending this spectrum allotment? To explore these and other questions, ITIF will bring together educators and others with an interest in broadband service.
