State Members File Survey Results of State Broadband Programs
New York Public Service Commissioner Gregg Sayre, on behalf of the state members of the Federal-State Joint Conference on Advanced Services, filed a letter on September 16, 2016 with the results of a survey on the status of state broadband programs.
Commissioner Sayre stated that after discussions with the Federal Communications Commission at the February 2016 National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) meetings, the state members determined that a survey to establish the current status of state programs that promote broadband deployment might provide some useful data points for the FCC in its deliberations in the broadband deployment proceeding.
