Sprint to join rivals in cutting termination fees

Following its rivals, Sprint Nextel will soon begin trimming the fees customers face for canceling their cell phone service early. Chief Executive Dan Hesse said Tuesday that Sprint could start lowering the early termination fees as soon as December, once the company updates its billing software.
Illinois Supreme Court refuses to hear Sprint appeal in Nextel fight with affiliate

The Illinois Supreme Court has dealt Sprint Nextel Corp. another setback in its fight with affiliate iPCS Inc. over the Nextel network. The court on Wednesday refused to hear Sprint's appeal of a March ruling by the Appellate Court of Illinois that would require Overland Park, Kan.-based Sprint to dismantle its Nextel network in regions of the Midwest.
Embarq provides more details on Web tracking test

In a new report to Congress, Embarq is revealing more about its program that tracked Internet subscribers' Web-surfing habits for advertising purposes. The company performed the test on 26,000 customers in Gardner (KS) because it was Embarq's smallest market and near qualified technicians.
FCC lifts Sprint deadline to swap some channels

Sprint was facing a June 26 deadline to vacate channels that its Nextel wireless network uses in the 800 MHz band.
