S. 2125 Preparing America’s Seniors for the Digital Television Transition Act of 2007

On October 2, 2007, Senate Special Committee on Aging Chairman Herb Kohl (D-WI) introduced the Preparing America’s Seniors for the Digital Television Transition Act of 2007.

S. 93 911 Modernization Act

On February 13, 2007, Sen Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) introduced the 911 Modernization Act (S.93). The bill would provide funding to build broadband out to every Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) responsible for answering 9-1-1 calls for emergency assistance from police, fire, and ambulance services.

H.R. 608 To further inform consumers about the transition to digital television

Former House Commerce Committee Chairman Joe Barton (R-TX) and Reps Fred Upton (R-MI) and Dennis Hastert (R-IL) have introduced HR 608, a bill dealing with a number of educational efforts related to the Feb. 18, 2009, "hard date" for turning off analog television.
