CAMPAIGNS ON TV IN NEXT PRIMARY STATES
Presidential contenders have already moved on to other states with their TV ads, as they focus on the post-New Hampshire battlegrounds. Evan Tracey, who tracks campaign TV ads for TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG, said Tuesday that the three Democrats who lead in national polls — Sen. Barack Obama, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and John Edwards — all are on the air in South Carolina, home to a Jan. 26 Democratic primary. Meanwhile, Republicans Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani are advertising in Florida, which votes Jan. 29. Giuliani, whose strategy has focused on Florida and many of the 22 Super Tuesday states that have contests Feb. 5, is the only candidate running national ads — on Fox News Channel.
