DTV TRANSITION ON CONGRESSIONAL AGENDA
The House Commerce Committee announced two upcoming hearings on the digital television transition. The first will be held on October 17, witnesses will include FCC Chairman Martin, NTIA head John Kneuer and someone from the Government Accountability Office. The second hearing will be on October 31 and "will give the Committee the opportunity to hear from various stakeholders." The Senate Commerce Committee will also hold a DTV transition hearing on October 17.
