TV Viewing Hits Record High

The amount of television watched reached an all-time high during the 2008-09 season as Americans spent an average of four hours and 49 minutes per day in front of the tube or LCD display or whatever, according to Nielsen. That's up four minutes from last year and up 20 percent from 10 years ago. The average household logged eight hours and 21 minutes on average, also a record high.
