LORI GILBERT NOMINATED FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING BOARD

A longtime Elko (NV) broadcaster has been nominated by President Bush to serve on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting board of directors. Lori Gilbert, news director at KELK-AM and KENV-TV, is 1 of 3 nominations announced by the White House last week. Gilbert was nominated for the position by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV). If confirmed by the Senate, Gilbert will fill the remainder of a 6-year term that expires in January 2012.
