Study: Few People to Spend Tax Rebate On Gadgets
STUDY: FEW PEOPLE TO SPEND TAX REBATE ON GADGETS

Only seven percent of consumers are likely to spend their special federal tax rebate on consumer electronics. That's according to a consumer survey conducted by research firm ChangeWave. As part of a stimulus package to boost the sagging economy, the federal government will issue one-time $600 tax rebate checks to most Americans late this spring. However, the ChangeWave report says 33 percent of consumers plan to use it to pay down their debts while 23 percent will invest it and 21 will simply save the money.
