Open Meeting: Federal Communications Commission
FCC will hold a Commission Meeting at the FCC, 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, DC, 9:30 am.
Friday is FCC Commissioner Kathleen Abernathy's last day on the job and Chairman Kevin Martin has changed the date of this month's meeting from the 15th to the 9th. Here's the agenda: 1) the Commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking concerning issues raised by a Court decision that the Commission adopt a non-rural insular universal service mechanism; 2) the Commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and Order concerning modifications to the rules on unsolicited facsimile advertisements to implement the Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005; and 3) cupcakes and lemonade for everyone afterwards! The meeting is to start at 10:30am (ET).
