The Future of Broadband: Moving From Why to How

EDUCAUSE, Congressional Internet Caucus, and App-Rising.com co-host:

January 29th from 3-5:30 pm

A presentation of a new approach to broadband and a pair of panel discussions of the future on broadband sponsored by the Congressional Internet Caucus Advisory Committee and organized by EDUCAUSE and App-Rising.com. This informational seminar will help set the stage for DC's leading Internet technology policy event: the State of the Net conference.

The seminar will kick off with the presentation of a provocative position paper from EDUCAUSE that suggests a new approach to uniting public and private interests for the deployment of big broadband connectivity to every home. Then engage in a lively discussion on the merits of this and other approaches to expanding the reach and capacity of broadband with leaders from both public and private sectors. And finally hear from applications developers about next generation video services that are improving society through broadband.

This is a can't-miss event for anyone and everyone who wants to get past the rhetoric of the present and develop a plan for the future. This outstanding pre-conference event will help you figure out how we can increase the capacity of our networks and take advantage of the bandwidth they provide.
