FCC En Banc on Broadband Network Management Practices

The Federal Communications Commission announced Friday that its public en banc hearing will be held in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Monday, February 25, 2008 at 11am. Previously, the hearing was to take place on Tuesday Feb 26. The Commission will hear from expert panelists regarding broadband network management practices. The hearing is open to the public, and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The public may file comments or other documents with the Commission and should reference docket numbers 07-52 and 08-7 when filing by paper or submit your filing electronically by going to http://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/ecfs/upload_v2.cgi and enter proceeding numbers 07-52 and 08-7. Filing instructions are provided at http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) will conduct four educational workshops focused on rural broadband during 2008. The workshops will provide communities and organizations in rural America seeking to bring the benefits of broadband to their communities with an opportunity to learn about the resources, programs, and policies of the FCC and USDA.
